TANNER HURT (Zach) is married to Lillian Hurt (Maggie) and is a cat dad to Bellatrix, Dobbi, and Titi.
This is Tanner’s third Acting Out Theatre Co. show. Tanner has recently appeared in Beauty and the
Beast (Gaston) with AOTC, and Newsies (Jack Kelly) with KVTA. He would like to extend special thanks
to his wife Lillian for being the best hype girl a guy could ask for.
VERONICA KRAVAT – she/her – (Lorie) is the daughter of Ricki and Kenny and sister of Jenabeth. She is
the Office Manager and a Teacher at Paula Aubry School of Dance, and also works at Sequels Resale
Shop. She has performed in Chicago and CATS with AOTC, and has served in the role as choreographer
for West Side Story and You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown with AOTC, and Newsies with KVTA. Her
favorite part of the show has been getting to dance in the iconic opening number. “Thank you to my mom for volunteering and always wanting to help, and to Spencer for being a stagehand and supporting all of my theatre escapades. Thank you to the cast for all of your incredible talents and hard work you’ve
poured into this show. The difficulty of A Chorus Line’s dancing does not go unnoticed! You are all
rockstars… a 5, 6, 7, 8!!!”
EMILY FERNETTE (Cassie) is the Director of Engagement at GatheringPoint Church and the co-founder
of local small business, Philo Collective (yoga, bakery & events!) This is Emily’s third production with
Acting Out Theatre Co. She previously performed in Ghost Light Cabaret and in West Side Story
(Rosalia). Emily would like to thank her castmates for being the best encouragers and supporters.

ASHTYN WILLIAMS (Sheila) is excited to be making her Acting Out Theatre Company debut. She
recently graduated from Olivet where she studied Music and Musical Theatre. She plans to attend
graduate school to study Vocal Performance. “At the Ballet” is a special number for her. “It’s bittersweet to
be reflecting on our younger selves, our passions, and the journey we’ve taken to the present.”
JACQUELYN RAE (Val) is the daughter of Jack and Dee Sarowatz, who have watched her grow through
performing, taken her to countless dance classes from the age of three, supported her through her Dance
Performance Degree from Illinois State University, sailed the sea with her as a performer with Disney
Cruise Line, and never missed an opening night. Jacquelyn has appeared in several theatre productions
throughout the years. Some notable credits include Disney’s Newsies (Buttons) with KVTA, West Side
Story (Graziella) with AOTC, and CATS (Rumpleteazer) with AOTC, to name just a few. She hopes the
audience leaves this performance with a spark of unity, understanding and compassion, accepting
differences of any and all kinds, to come together as ‘One Singular Sensation.’
JANINE ROJO – she/her – (Diana) works as a Physical Therapy Assistant. She has been seen on the
stage in RENT (Mimi) with Limelight Theatre Works, and The Little Mermaid (Ariel) with KVTA. Her
favorite part of the show has been watching the cast grow into their roles and seeing the show come
together.
MARY SCHWARK – she/her – (Judy) is the daughter of JoAnn and Mark Schwark. She works as a
Starbucks barista. Mary’s previous theatre credits include Guys and Dolls (Mimi) and Sister Act (Nun) with
KVTA, and Oklahoma! (Laurey), Pirates of Penzance (Isabella), and Almost, Maine (Hope), with
Camarata Music Company. “Thank you to all of you who came to see the show to support community
theatre! The stage is truly a place for all! This is my first Acting Out show and will not be my last!”
TAYLOR ARSENEAU (Kristine) is the daughter of Todd and Tricia Arseneau, who have watched her
grow up performing and supported her through her professional career. Taylor danced professionally at A
& A ballet in Chicago in 2016 leading her to dance with Atlanta Ballet’s professional company in 2017.
Soon after that Taylor attended Bradley University where she received her degree in Special Education.
Taylor has always loved performing; a notable past credit is West Side Story (Velma) with AOTC. “With
our production of A Chorus Line, I hope the audience leaves with a little bit more joy and a love for music and dance” Taylor is most excited for the audience to see the behind the scenes of what a Broadway
dance audition looks and feels like!
LILLIAN HURT (Maggie) resides in Bourbonnais with her wonderful Husband, Tanner Hurt, and her three
cats Bellatrix, Dobbi, and Titi-Sue. She is the business owner of Lilla Made and is part of the Sweet Street
team. Some of Lillian’s favorite past credits include It’s A Wonderful Life (Lana Sherwood) and CATS
(Bombalurina) with AOTC, Spamalot (Lady of the Lake) with KVTA, and Godspell (Cast Member). Lillian
can’t thank the staff and cast enough for all their time and dedication. “Each and every person in this
production is so incredibly hard working and talented. God bless you, my sweet friends. You are loved
and your story is cherished by the Creator of the universe.” Luke 12:7.
LAUREN PUESCHELL- she/her – (Bebe) is the daughter of Michael and Rachel Pueschell. She
graduated from Watseka Community High School in 2019 and is currently working as a video editor for
Center Street Productions in Watseka, as well as an assistant dance teacher at Studio on Main in
Watseka. Lauren has been heavily involved with the stage for many years, performing in The Nutcracker
(Snowflake and Spanish Mouse) in 2013 with IYB, Bye, Bye Birdie (Kim MacAfee) in 2014 with CTW,
Mary Poppins (Mary Poppins) in 2018 with CTW, The Addams Family (Wednesday Addams) in 2019 with
CTW, The Music Man (Dancer) in 2020, and Ghost Light Cabaret (Dancer) in 2021 with AOTC. Lauren is
so excited to share the stage once again with many of her theatre friends and would like to thank her
family for always supporting her in her theatre endeavors.
MOLLIE PEERY – she/her – (Connie) is the daughter of Von and Jan Peery and sister to Caleb, Xander
and Josie Peery. She attended Olivet Nazarene University where she studied Film and a minored in
Theatre. Her past credits include Godspell (Disciple), You Can’t Take it With You (Alice), Rabbit Hole
(Izzy) and most recently an original musical titled, The Muse (Q) where she originated a role under the
direction of her castmate, Andrew. She student-directed Little Women at ONU and also choreographed
and founded the ONU Theatre Dance Team. She wants to thank her friends and family for being so
supportive, God, and the cast for being so supportive and hardworking. She dedicates this show to a very
special dancing girl – Katie Jonak. “We miss you dearly.”
CASE KOERNER (Allie) is a dance instructor, CPS Teaching Artist, drama/improv teacher, and part time
candy-slinger at Sweet Street. Case graduated from ONU with a concentration in Theatre, where they
were able to choreograph three university musicals and student-direct their favorite love-story of all time,
Pride & Prejudice. This is Case’s fourth production with Acting Out Theatre Co., and they would like to
thank the AOTC staff and crew who work incredibly hard, especially Veronica for a spectacular dance
experience and Deena for her fantastic direction. Case would like to give a special shout out to their
parents, Donna & Pat, for being so spectacular, as well as their cat Stormcrow for his emotional support.
ANDREW McBURNIE – he/him – (Mike) is thrilled to have this be his fourth summer with Acting Out
Theatre Co.! He was a May graduate of Olivet Nazarene University and recently began his position as an
Admissions Counselor in the Olivet Office of Admissions. He also does freelance videography. You may
have previously seen him in West Side Story (Tony) with AOTC in 2018, Singin’ in the Rain (Don
Lockwood) at ONU in 2022, and in The Music Man (Featured Dancer) with KVTA in 2021. He would like
to thank his fiancée, Ashtyn Williams for (once again) sharing the stage with him, as well as Acting Out
Theatre Co. for the continued opportunities for quality theatre in Kankakee County.
ROBERT SOWELL – they/them – (Richie) is thrilled to be debuting with Acting Out Theatre Co. They are
the child of Sharron Sowell, grandchild of Robert J. Sowell and partner of Yukki Zavala. They are
currently working as a housekeeper at Best Western Plus. Past Credits include Little Shop of Horrors
(Ensemble, Reporter), A Christmas Carol (Caroler), Hairspray (Ensemble), WWII Radio Christmas
(Photographer), Dark Road (The Doctor), and Songs For A New World (Quartet Member) at Kankakee
High School. They would love to thank everyone who has supported them and Mrs. Cassady for
encouraging them to continue in theatre and acting. They also would like to thank their family for being
behind them and making them feel accepted and loved no matter what they do. And finally, they would
like to thank their partner Yukki for believing in them and loving them unconditionally, making sure they
take care of themselves.
GRANT SPARENBERG (Don) is a resident of Kankakee where he lives with his parents Tim and Danette
Sparenberg as well as his brothers Ross and Brett Sparenberg. As a school music teacher for Lorenzo R.
Smith Elementary, Grant has spent many years dedicated to bringing music into the lives of others. “I love
to think that my day is spent just singing songs, playing games, and reading books whenever I go into
work. I have found the best possible job for myself and couldn’t imagine doing anything else.” Over the
past few years, Grant has been involved in numerous shows with Acting Out Theatre Co. and KVTA,
even working on staff as a choreographer for KVTA’s Summer Theatre Camp. “I love what that this
community has people that love music and dancing as much as I do. I have gotten to know so many great
people because of community theatre and could not imagine my life without these opportunities to
perform.”
JACKSON THORNHILL (Paul) is from Kankakee and works as a Senior Admissions Counselor at Olivet
Nazarene University. Jackson graduated from ONU in 2020 with his Bachelor of Communications, and in
2022 with his MBA. His previous acting credits include West Side Story (Riff), Into the Woods (The
Baker), and Guys and Dolls (Nathan Detroit). Jackson would like to thank his friends Lexi and Hannah for
being so supportive throughout the rehearsal process for this show. “Please enjoy tonight’s show as the
cast and crew have worked incredibly hard to bring this story to life!”
RYAN RUNNER – he/him – (Mark) is the son of Aimee Ruel and Brad Runner. Ryan is very excited for his
Acting Out Theatre Company Co. debut. Ryan just graduated from Kankakee High School where he was
seen on stage in Little Shop of Horrors (Ensemble), Once on this Island (Daniel) and Chicago (Billy
Flynn). He wants to thank his parents and friends for their undying support and love.
TRE HADLEY – he/him – (Greg) is in his second year of college and Kankakee Community College where
he is studying Communications. Greg has been seen on stage in The Wiz, If A Tear Should Fall, Songs of
a New World, Hairspray, CLUE, Once on this Island, Dark Road, and Little Shop of Horrors. He was in the
Take Note Show Choir at KHS and had a successful season in the Sound Foundation Show Choir at
ONU. His favorite part of the show has been seeing the final results. He would like to thank his boyfriend
for taking time to make sure he made it to rehearsal on time and for supporting him through this process.

OWEN HEURING – he/him – (Bobby) is a sophomore at Kankakee Community College and works at
Sweet Street. He notes that his entire family has always pushed him to be a dancer, and they have
always been so supportive when it comes to letting him spread my wings when it’s comes to dance and
theatre. Past acting credits include You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown (Linus) with AOTC, Seussical: The
Musical (The Cat in the Hat) with Chicago Heights Drama Group, and Cinderella (King) with KVTA.
Montage Part 4 is is absolute favorite number is the whole show. “Thank you to the staff, cast, and
everyone else for including me in A Chorus Line, it truly has been a blessing”
TAYLOR BESEKE – she/her – (Tracy) is the daughter of Jeremy and Tracy and sister to Kobe, Aiden and
Jaxon. She is a bartender at No Dogs Sports Bar and is a student at Governor’s State University. She
has been seen on stage in West Side Story (Clarice) with AOTC. Her favorite part of this production has
been being in another production with some of her old cast mates!
TAYLOR GILBERT – she/they – (Melissa) is the daughter of Reggie and Melissa Gilbert, sister of Aidan
and Ethan Gilbert. and granddaughter of Mary Gooding. Her favorite part of the show has been how
individualistic everyone is. All the characters are so unique, yet they blend well together. “This is my first
show and I have loved every second of it. I’d like to thank my fellow cast members and anyone else
involved in the production of A Chorus Line for working so hard to put on a wonderful show.”
ANGEL DIAZ – he/him – (Frank) is the son of Irma, grandson of Francisca, and nephew of Mari and Rafy.
Angel’s father and stepdad have since passed on and because of these experiences he believes in being
present and having gratitude for your loved ones at all times. He works in Ops Admin at FedEx Ground.
Angel has most recently been seen on stage in Mamma Mia! (Ensemble) with Brightside Theatre. His

KELLIE HOFFMEYER (Lois, Pit Singer) is a full-time elementary school teacher as well as a dancer and
dance teacher. This is Kellie’s first time working with Acting Out Theatre Co. and her first time performing
in a musical. Her last production was during college at Ball State University where she performed Act One
from the ballet Le Corsaire and works by contemporary choreographer Jamy Meek. Kellie is so excited to
perform again and hopes everyone enjoys the show! She also wants to give a special thank-you to her
parents and fiancé for their support and to the cast for making this an unforgettable experience!
LAUREN “LO” BEATTY (Vicki, Pit Singer) is the communications manager at Olivet Nazarene University,
a dance instructor at Dance in the Light and the co-founder of local small business, Philo Collective

HANNAH HUDGINS – she/her – (Tricia, Pit Singer) is the daughter of Anthony and Laura Hudgins and
sister of Luke, Lindsey, and Michael. She is a sophomore at ONU majoring in Communications with a
Theatre Focus. She has recently been seen on stage in The Music Man (Teen Dancer) and Guys and
Dolls (Hotbox Dancer) with KVTA. Her favorite part of this production has been challenging herself in new
ways and meeting so many wonderful people. “I want to thank everyone involved with AOTC and the A
Chorus Line team for giving me an amazing experience to grow and learn as an actress and dancer.”
TRISTON COLLINS – he/him – (Roy, Pit Singer) is the son of Ronnie Collins and Lawanda Club. He is a
recent graduate of Kankakee High School. Triston has been seen on stage in Chicago (Amos Hart) and
Songs for a New World (King of the World) at KHS. His favorite part of this production has been getting to sing and be on stage with everyone!
AMANDA WINKLE (Pit Singer) is the daughter of Larry and Fran and older sister to Larry and Amy. In her
spare time, she can be found reading The Princess Diaries or binge-watching various cartoons (Stranger
Things is a little too intense for her). Previous theatre credits include Fiddler on the Roof (Hodel) with
CTW, and Hairspray (Penny Pingleton) and The Little Mermaid (Scuttle) with KVTA. Thank you to the
cast and staff for making this summer a really fun one! “Take an umbrella. It’s raining.”
NICOLE KLIMZAK – she/her – (Pit Singer) is the proud mother of Miles, an animation major at DePaul.
She works at LN Engineering in Momence and is responsible for running their Wholesale Division, in
addition to filling the role of HR. While this is Nicole’s first Acting Out Theatre Co. credit, she is no
stranger to the stage. Most recently, she dusted off her dancing shoes for Guys and Dolls (Society Max)
with KVTA, but one of her favorite roles was wielding the persnickety puppet, Mrs. Thistletwat in Limelight
Theatre Works production of Avenue Q. She says she has been blown away by the talent on stage and
that they made her laugh and cry at every single rehearsal. She would like to thank her family, especially
Miles, and her dearest friends for being so understanding about her crazy theatre schedule and says, “I
love you all so much!”
DEBBIE OBERLANDER (Pit Singer) is the wife of Ed Oberlander and mother of Lindsay Ingram. By day,
she answers to “Deborah Scissorhands” because she owns and operates her own hair salon. By night
she is a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant. She started singing early in life, being one of ten in a
musical family. By the time she was in high school, she had quite a few favorite Broadway musicals, and
A Chorus Line was at the top of the list!! She’s so honored to be a part of this production and see it
through the eyes of another generation!
MICHAEL PUESCHELL (Pit Singer) a Watseka resident, is proud to work with Acting Out Theatre Co.
again after serving as a Vocal Director and Performer in Ghost Light Cabaret, and Vocal Director for the
2019 production of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. He is husband to Rachel and father to Lauren
(break a leg!), Moriah, and Hollis. He was most recently seen in productions such as The Music Man
(Ewart Dunlop), Mamma Mia! (Sam Carmichael), and Little Women (Professor Bhaer) with KVTA, and Mary Poppins (George Banks) with CTW. Michael earned a degree in Music Business from Nashville’s
Belmont University and went on to sing lead with Walt Disney World’s “The Dapper Dans” barbershop
quartet for four years before beginning full-time vocational ministry. He adds, “Thank you, AOTC family,
for this opportunity to come together and showcase the resilience of our community with the joy of
theatre!”
STAFF
DEENA CASSADY – she/her – (Stage Director) is so excited to be directing for Acting Out Theatre
Company after being on stage for several of their productions. Favorite directing credits include Chicago,
Once On This Island, Dark Road, and Clue. Deena is the Theatre Teacher and Production Director for
Kankakee School District 111 and is on the Board of Directors for the Illinois Theatre Association. Deena
is the proud mama to Nadia and Nathan. Many thanks to her husband, Kyle, and her Acting Out Theatre
Co. family for making this process so fun and fulfilling.
CHELSEA McKAY (Assistant Director) just completed her 14th year of teaching in the Peotone
Community Unit School District, serving as the director of theatre and choral activities at both the Junior
High and High School. This is her first time being part of an Acting Out Theatre Co. production and she is
so excited to be part of the staff. Her favorite past performances have included The 25th Annual Putnam
County Spelling Bee (Olive) with Curtain Call Community Theatre and Disney’s Newsies (Hannah) with
KVTA. Chelsea has also been on the staff of many shows with her favorites being The Hunchback of
Notre Dame (Vocal Director) with KVTA and Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella (Director) at Peotone
High School this past spring. Chelsea would like to thank the cast and crew for being so understanding of
her unexpected crazy schedule and for being such a fun group to work with.

MICHAEL KREN – he/him – (Vocal Director) is thrilled to be the Vocal Director for this production. He has
been out of the musical theatre scene for the last couple years and enjoyed getting back into the theatre.
Mike’s favorite production credits include Grease (Johnny Casino), Cinderella (Student Director), and The
Wizard of Oz (Pit Member). He works as a Choir Director for the Coal City School District. During the
summer he enjoys being a part of the Springbrook Surf Club and Ski Club. He’d liked to thank the cast for
all their hard work and being an amazing group of people to work alongside to bring this production
together.
LYNNAE BONTRAGER (Pit Conductor) is excited to be a part of her 6th Acting Out Theatre production.
She played flute and piccolo in the pit for four shows starting in 2016, and she conducted the pit for Ghost Light Cabaret last summer. She is looking forward to conducting A Chorus Line and working with such wonderful musicians. Lynnae is in her 5th year as Director of Bands at Coal City Intermediate and Middle Schools. She also performs locally with the River Valley Wind Ensemble. She is married to Tyler (fellow pit musician), and they live in Kankakee. “Thank you to the directors and board for the opportunity to conduct again and thank you to family and friends for all of their support.”
JULIE GINDY – she/her – (Set Designer/Decorator) is the wife of Jeff, mother of Jillian & Mike Van Gindy,
Katie Gindy, and Cody Gindy. She is the proud “grandmother” of Thor, god of Thunder, Re, Egyptian Sun
god, Rex, Endymion, and Tacocat (who are just here for the snacks) – the cats. Julie is a part-time graphic
designer, full-time Julie-of-all-Trades. She co-founded Acting Out Theatre Company over a basket of chips and salsa and serves on the board as Vice President. She has been involved with Scenic Design
for every AOTC production since its inception, and then a little. Julie would like to thank each and every
AOTC staff, crew member, and cast member who volunteer countless hours creating quality productions
for our community. “To Jeff, Jillian, Mike, Katie, and Cody, I say wow, you guys are swell!” She would also
like to thank her grandcats Thor, god of Thunder, and Re, Egyptian Sun god, in advance for the sunny

MELLODY McDONALD (Costume Designer) is a single mom to her three cats Abby, Bobby and Patches.
She is a Registered Nurse for Riverside Medical Group. Mellody has previously helped in the following
AOTC shows: Les Miserables (Stage Crew), CATS (Props), Sweeny Todd (Props) and A Night in Sleepy
Hollow (Martha, Verity). She has previously worked backstage at the Peoria Civic Center as House Prop
Master for the following touring companies, Les Miserables, CATS, Jesus Christ Superstar, Oliver and
many more. Mellody has truly enjoyed her first time being a Costume Designer for A Chorus Line. She
would like to thank her parents, and her roommates Priscilla and Carson for their understanding during
the past few months. She would also like to thank her helpers Danette and Owen for their needed
assistance!
MIKE PRANGER (Stage Construction) is the husband of Lisa and father of Michael & Michelle, Nathan
and Andrew. He is the owner of Valley Glass Company. He has served as Stage Construction for You’re
a Good Man Charlie Brown, CATS, Les Misérables, Chicago, Big River, Into the Woods, Sweeney Todd,
Beauty and the Beast West Side Story and many more local theatre productions. Mike would like to thank
his talented and dedicated building staff.
CINDI HANNAY (Props) is excited to be coordinating Props for Acting Out Theatre Co. and spending time
with this talented cast and staff. She thanks Sharon for asking her to join the staff… both times! Cindi
works in the School of Education at ONU but her favorite role is GiGi to her granddaughter Sutton.
CELESTE TABOR (Hair/Makeup) is the wife of Nathan and mother to Sutton and her fur baby Ainslie!
Celeste is a part-time Children’s Pastor at College Church of the Nazarene and a full-time homemaker.
She has looked forward to being a part of the A Chorus Line team for the past few years and is excited for
the show to finally be on stage! Celeste would like to thank the cast for being so wonderful to work with,
and Sutton for putting up with late bedtimes during the show!
JOE DENAULT (Stage Manager) is the husband of Paula and father of Sarah, Lisa, and Kyle. He has
been the Stage Manager for many Acting Out Theatre Co. shows and is happy to be involved in A Chorus
Line. He would like to thank fellow stagehands Jake Hileman, Spencer Shattuck, Cody Gindy, and
Michael Keigher. ‘Good luck to our amazing cast.”
JEFF GINDY – he/him – (Set Construction) is the husband of Julie, father of Jillian & Mike Van Gindy,
Katie Gindy, and Cody Gindy. He is the proud “PeePaw” of Thor, god of Thunder, Re, Egyptian Sun god,
Rex, Endymion, and Tacocat (who are just here for the snacks) – the cats. Jeff is a retired elementary
school Principal and currently works full-time as the personal woodworker of his wife, children, and the
neighborhood birds and squirrels, and part-time as a Sweet Street taste tester. His favorite part of the
show is getting his garage clean afterwards. He would like to thank his daughter Jillian, once again, for
ghostwriting this biography.
KARLA BREITENBUCHER – she/her – (House Coordinator) is the wife of Tom and mother of Kaylee and
Cole. She is a retired high school teacher. Karla has served as House Coordinator for the past several
years for Acting Out Theatre Co. productions.
SARAH HUGGINS (Volunteer Coordinator) is the wife of Jarrod and dog mom to Harvey. Sarah is a 2 nd
Grade teacher at Noel LeVasseur School. She has been the Volunteer Coordinator for several previous
shows and enjoys working with our awesome volunteers. Sarah would like to thank her husband, Jarrod,
for his support and willingness to volunteer too!
GWEN FOX – she/her – (Rehearsal Pianist) is the wife of Michael J. Fox, mother to Casey Meyer, Ryan

retired Kindergarten teacher and is presently employed as organist/pianist at St. Mark Methodist and
Wesley Methodist churches. Gwen started working with Acting Out Theatre Co. by playing in the pit for
Into the Woods and has played for CATS, Beauty and the Beast, Sweeney Todd, West Side Story, and
now A Chorus Line! Her favorite part of the production is the fabulous dancing. “I love working with
outdoor theatre!”
PAULA DENAULT (Bash off Broadway/Art Auction Chair) is the wife of Joe, mother of Sarah & Jarrod
Huggins, Lisa Graft, and Kyle and Jenny Denault. She is the proud grandmother of Josie, Emma, Hadley,
and Cal. Paula is a retired third grade teacher and currently a Sweet Street employee. Paula loves to
collect interesting serving pieces and table decor, and decorate for any party or occasion! She has been
involved with Acting Out Theatre Company since 2011, both as a board member, actor, and behind the
scenes. Paula would like to thank each and every AOTC cast, crew, staff, and board member for
investing so much of themselves into this community theatre! “You make our world a better place!”
