Theatre in unexpected places
We’re a nonprofit community theatre company that believes that all the world’s a stage. We transform forgotten, abandoned, or ordinary locations into temporary live theatre spaces.
Something out of nothing.
We’re in the business of creating something out of nothing. You show us a small town Main Street; we’ll show you the streets of Jazz Age Chicago. You’ve got an 18th century barn? What a charming scene for a Harvest Party at the Van Tassel homestead. We seek out the ordinary sights of Kankakee County and transform them into the scene where we practice our craft.
Environmental theatre breaks you out of the confines of a traditional proscenium stage. You’re not just peeking in on a scene in a magical forest. You’re in the forest. We take you to the alley behind the Russell Hotel, the cobblestone streets of Paris, and the banks of the mighty Mississippi River right here in your backyard.
