When I learned that AOTC was doing You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown,. I knew exactly how I wanted to be a part of the experience. In the past 9 years, Acting Out Theatre Co. has continued to grow and expand in many beautiful ways. One area that I knew I wanted to expand was our pre-show festival. Traditionally, audience members come to the show early, stake out their spot and visit our pre-show fest. This year we are going bigger and better!

Submit completed entries at the “Peanuts Party” Children’s area (5:30-7:30 pm) on July 12-14th -Winners selected for each show (July 12th-14th) based on submitted entries.

Was that Pigpen playing with puppies? Or Marcie following Peppermint Patty? No, your eyes are not playing tricks on you. This year you can play a game, take a picture, or just chat with some of your favorite peanuts characters that you may not see on the stage. Their new philosophy is focused on helping you find out what your happiness is
Happiness is…Rock Project:
Buy tickets to win the painted rock of your choice. All proceeds go to Hospice of Kankakee Valley, Good Grief Family Camp. More info HERE!
Activities:
This show is perfect for the whole family, especially the kids.
Our festival will contain activities specifically focused on some of our younger audience members. Map HERE!
- Come join the team and hit a baseball as far as you can.
- Play with some of Snoopy’s pals from the humane society.
- Switch places with Lucy with a stop to the “Doctor is in” imaginative play area.
- Spotlight your own musical talents with our music play station.
This year’s PEANUTS Party will be a true blast. This will be a show, and pre-show, you will not want to miss.
