Acting Out Theatre Co., You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown
“Happiness Is…” Rock Project
Last year AOTC challenged area artists to transform an ordinary brick into a work of art using West Side Story, the musical, as inspiration. This year we are asking area artists to transform Charlie Brown’s dreaded trick-or-treat rocks into works of art in order to help raise funds for a local children’s program: Hospice’s “Good Grief,” a program designed to support grieving children and teens.
Create a unique rock based on a Charles Schulz quote or the Peanuts characters.
$10 Participation fee to benefit “Good Grief”
Each artist will receive a rock to use or you may provide your own rock. You may use any size rock: as small as a paperweight or as large as a landscape rock.
You may decorate using any medium you choose.
Use your most creative ideas within the bounds of acceptable public display.
We will take the first 30 entries.
All finished rocks become the property of Acting Out Theatre Co. to auction with proceeds going to “Good Grief”
Please create a 3.5 x 5 card to display with your rock with your name, organization name (if applicable) & title
Please bring finished rocks to our show site on July 8th- 10th between 6:00 pm and 8:30 pm
(Please email to make special arrangements if the above times do not work for you)
If you are providing your own rock, fill out the form below and mail to:
Acting Out Theatre Co., 200 N Washington St., Bradley, IL, 60915 with $10 entry fee
If you would like us to provide you a rock, please contact Paula or Michael,
paulaactingout@gmail.com or keigherm@besd53.org
The rocks will be displayed at the Peanut’s Party Preshow Festival on July 12,13, and 14th and will be a part of a silent auction with all proceeds going to…
Good Grief Family Camp is a free service of Hospice of Kankakee Valley and offers children, teens, and their parents a full day of both support and fun. Your child will learn valuable tools to help them grieve in a healthy way, while connecting with other children who have also lost a loved one. The loved one does not have to be a Hospice of Kankakee Valley patient to attend.
